The crisis unit met following disruptions to POST's communication networks on 23 July 2025

Following the disruption to POST's communication networks (Internet, mobile and landline), which affected the whole country at around 4.15 p.m., the Prime Minister convened the crisis unit. Chaired by the Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, and attended by the Minister for Home Affairs, Léon Gloden, the crisis unit met in the early evening to analyse the situation and discuss any additional measures that might be necessary.

By 8 p.m., the situation had stabilised. The emergency numbers 112 and 113 are once again fully accessible, as are internet and telephone services.

POST is currently working to gradually restore all services. The causes of these disruptions are still being investigated by POST, and the situation is continued to be monitored.

The ministers praised the immediate efforts made by the CGDIS and the Police to ensure citizens had continuous access to emergency services. These measures will gradually return to normal.

The authorities have reiterated that alerts issued by the LU-Alert system were delivered to POST customers with a delay due to these disruptions.

The Prime Minister is being kept informed and is actively involved in all decision-making.

Participants: Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of the Economy; Haut-Commissariat à la protection nationale (HCPN),  Police grand-ducale, CGDIS, Service des médias, de la connectivité et de la politique numérique (SMC), Institut luxembourgeois de régulation (ILR), Providers (POST, Tango, Orange), Service information et presse (SIP) et LU-CIX.
